Alright folks a few of you have been enquiring after the new EP.

Just to set the record straight we are debating amongst ourselves as to whether the new sounds should be balanced out by more traditional Kittys-style stuff, and the possibility of expanding the material into an album incorporating the whole spectrum of our sound is being discussed.

The tracks recorded over the summer have a very expansive, ethereal kind of feel to them, but mark a significant shift from the live repertoire. At some point the idea came up that the stripped down feel of our more familiar material might provide an interesting counterpoint, and we are considering whether it might be necessary to build a bridge to facilitate the transition from pop to lo-fi.

Having said that, we may well go ahead and release the EP as it is,  and record the album from scratch.  But as it is we are taking the rest of the year off, and in the new year will come back to you with snippets of stuff and see what you think, (”like” us on facebook if you haven’t already!).

Anyway hopefully that’s cleared up for any of you who may be wringing your hands, biting your pillow, punching your walls or shaking your fist at the fiery zenith in anticipation of the latest kittys fix! It’ll be worth the wait- see yis in 2011,
